In the early part of Charlie's career, he teamed up with Paul Bowles to unite
music and song.
They
worked together for several years combining Paul's sensitive and powerful guitar
playing and Charlie's dynamic singing. They performed throughout the
country and Canada at numerous colleges and popular establishments, such as The
Ice House in Pasadena, CA; The Vangard in Kansas City, MO; The Second Fret in
Philadelphia, PA; The Earl of Old Town in Chicago, IL; The Raven Gallery in
Southfield, MI, and The Riverboat in Toronto.
They worked together for several years. Paul playing his guitar with a combination of sensitivity and power.
Later in his career, Charlie crossed paths with Phil Esser and for many years
both were extremely popular in the Metro Detroit area. They drew a huge
following as solo and duo artists, as well as teaming with Barbara Bredius to
become a trio.
Mr. Charlie Latimer had the honor of opening for the legendary singer Nina Simone at one of her concerts. He also had the honor of singing for Pope John Paul II at the Silverdome in Pontiac in September 1987.
Charlie Latimer has a dedicated history of performing for many charitable organizations. A favorite among those is Focus Hope.

Some of the musicals Charlie has performed in are "Jacques Brel Is Alive And
Well And Living In Paris," "Personals," "Somerset Strut," and "Somerset Strut
II".
Charlie is more than a singer; he is a natural on stage. Charlie is
in demand for singing engagements, event openings, voice-overs for training films and
commercials, and important fundraising events.
